Between Final Fantasy, Skies of Arcadia, Meridian, and now Treasure Planet it seems like a good idea that may be a bit overdone. I don't think so.Sky Pirates takes place in a medieval world that melds magic and technology. Great pirate ships float through the sky alongside Dragons and Sky Whales while ground battles are fought with swords, spells, and flintlocks. Our hero is Flynn, the manliest man and the swashbuckling-est swashbuckler of them all. With the athleticism of Errol Flynn (his namesake), the grace of Gene Kelley, and the wit of Bruce Campbell, he is the consummate hero and ladies' man. Alongside Flynn are a crew of ruffians and misfits including Kit, the tomboy with a crush on Flynn, and the seductive half-cat, half-woman Felicia. Expect to see Sky Pirates as our Illustrated Prose follow-up to Requiem in early 2004. |
